Acceptable Use Policy
Policy Owners: Legal and IT Security Manager
Last Updated: October 8, 2025
This Acceptable Use Policy (“AUP”) applies if your agreement (“Agreement”) for cloud-based services (“Hosted Services”) with Zasio Enterprises, Inc. (“Zasio”) incorporates the AUP published on Zasio’s website. The AUP is part of your Agreement and supplements its terms.
This policy governs your conduct—including that of your end users—while using the Hosted Services. All capitalized terms not defined here have the meanings assigned in your Agreement.
This AUP outlines prohibited uses of the Hosted Services. The examples provided are illustrative, not exhaustive. Any conduct that, in Zasio’s reasonable judgment, violates this AUP is prohibited.
For questions about permitted use or to report violations, contact: support@zasio.com.
- ABUSE
Customer may not use—or permit, assist, or encourage others to use—the Hosted Services (including related software, network, infrastructure, and website) for any illegal, fraudulent, abusive, harmful, or irresponsible activity. Prohibited conduct includes, but is not limited to:
- Violating applicable laws, regulations, or codes, including those related to data protection, privacy, or unsolicited commercial messaging.
- Introducing viruses, malware, or harmful code (e.g., Trojan horses, worms, spyware).
- Engaging in conduct that may lead to retaliation against the Hosted Services or Zasio, including denial-of-service (DoS) attacks.
- Damaging Zasio’s reputation.
- Interfering with service or causing harm to Hosted Services (e.g., mail bombing, flooding, system overloads, broadcast attacks).
- Causing Zasio’s infrastructure or IP space to be listed on abuse databases (e.g., Spamhaus).
All use must comply with this AUP and Zasio’s reasonable standards of conduct.
- OFFENSIVE CONTENT
Customers may not publish, transmit, or store any content (including links) that:
- A reasonable person would consider obscene.
- Incites, threatens, or depicts violence; contains hate speech; is harassing; poses a risk to public or personal safety; compromises national security; or interferes with law enforcement or government investigations.
- Is unfair or deceptive under consumer protection laws (e.g., chain letters, pyramid schemes).
- Is defamatory or violates privacy rights.
- Is malicious, fraudulent, or morally offensive.
- VULNERABILITY TESTING
Without Zasio’s prior written consent, Customers may not—and may not attempt to—probe, scan, test, or penetrate the vulnerability of Zasio’s Hosted Services, systems, databases, or networks. This includes bypassing or breaching any security or authentication measures, whether by passive or active means.
- EXPORT CONTROL
The Hosted Services may not be used in violation of any export laws, regulations, executive orders, or sanctions of the United States or your applicable jurisdiction.
Use is strictly prohibited by any individual or entity—including affiliates or group companies—engaged in or suspected of involvement with:
- Illegal gambling.
- Terrorism.
- Narcotics or arms trafficking.
- The development, production, stockpiling, or use of nuclear, chemical, or biological weapons, weapons of mass destruction, or missiles.
- Any affiliation with others who sponsor or support such activities.
Use of the Hosted Services must comply with all applicable laws and restrictions
- INTELLECTUAL PROPERTY AND PROPRIETARY INFORMATION
Customers may not use the Hosted Services to infringe or misappropriate any third party’s intellectual property, proprietary, or other legal rights. This includes publishing content intended to help others bypass technical copyright protections.
- INVESTIGATIONS AND LEGAL
Zasio may, without notice, report Customer conduct to government authorities if we reasonably believe it may violate applicable law. We may also provide information and cooperate in response to formal government or legal requests that meet the necessary requirements.
If legally required, Zasio may permit government authorities to inspect Customer content or traffic. By using our services, Customer agrees to such inspections.
- EXCESSIVE USE
Customers may not use the Hosted Services’ shared system in a way that:
- Unnecessarily disrupts normal system operations; or
- Consumes a disproportionate share of system resources, negatively affecting system performance or other customers’ access.
- THIRD PARTY CONDUCT
Assisting others in activities that would violate this Acceptable Use Policy (AUP) if performed by the Customer is also a violation of this AUP.
- SECURITY STANDARDS
Customer must maintain reasonable security standards for user access to Hosted Services. This includes ensuring physical and environmental security of all access devices and protecting customer data in transit between Customer’s systems and Zasio’s systems or Hosted Services.
- Intercepting Content or Traffic
Zasio may intercept or block Customer content or traffic if Hosted Services are used in violation of this AUP.
- CHANGES TO THIS AUP
As technology evolves, so do potential abuses. Zasio may update this AUP periodically. Revisions will be posted on this website and take effect 30 days after posting.
- VIOLATIONS OF THIS AUP
Zasio reserves the right, but not the obligation, to investigate violations of this AUP. Failure or delay in exercising any right under this AUP does not waive that right or any other. If Customer breaches this AUP, Zasio may suspend or terminate access to Hosted Services as outlined in the applicable Agreement. No service credits will be issued for interruptions caused by AUP violations. If Customer becomes aware of a violation, it must promptly notify Zasio and assist in resolving the issue.
